Liana comes from a family dedicated to public service & believes in leading by example.
As a mother, former City of Lemon Grove Planning Commissioner, current Lemon Grove Councilmember, and Sales Professional, Liana is no stranger to wearing multiple hats and finding innovative ways to solve problems. She takes an active role in our community, being known around town for her work as a team player with a boots on the ground, go-getter way of getting things done. Learn more about Liana below!
Liana LeBaron is a Lemon Grove native. She is a product of local schools and is a San Diego State University alumna. Liana holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, and speaks Spanish as her second language.
Liana has always been an advocate for those who feel they don’t have a voice. In her adult life this has led to a life of public service and advocacy. She is honored to dedicate herself to giving back to the community where she was born and raised.
She is co-organizer of the Annual Lemon Grove Toy Drive. Through the toy drive, Liana helps stimulate local economy by driving traffic to participating local mom and pop businesses at a time of year when it is most challenging for them. At the same time her efforts with the toy drive brings joy to hundreds of Lemon Grove Children.
As a councilmember, Liana has earned overwhelming community support by being someone who asks tough questions, pushes for greater transparency, accountability and financial responsibility.
November of 2020 Liana won her seat to city council in her first run for political office earning her rank as the top vote getter. She is the second youngest council member to be elected to Lemon Grove City Council and the first elected Latina councilmember.
Most recently, Liana was asked by the community to run for Mayor of Lemon Grove. Liana decided to step into the role she was being called unto and is running a commUNITY supported campaign to become the City’s new Mayor.
